'I do-- you know, I think it's worth going back to the magic shop that wouldn't let me inside to see if they sell sacrificial animals on order or whatever too. Or at least, advice on where we could get some."

"I was honestly thinking of just raiding a farm and stealing an ewe," Finley muttered. She wasn't looking forward to returning to that shop, but Roger was right. "But, we could probably get the black robes there. And it wouldn't hurt to ask about the sacrificial animals."

He nodded. 'I'll be right outside if you need me . . . Uhhh, not to imply you can't defend yourself-- you got what i meant, right?"

Finley gave him a faint smile and patted his arm. "I did," she confirmed. "Don't worry. I can handle one annoying shopkeep. Thank you though."

"I do, but that's not the point." Ben said. "So? How goes work on the quest?"

"Let's go there now then." Soon enough, they were at the dingy smokes shop.

"I'm having some issues, in all honesty." She crossed her legs. "It seems I cannot locate my universe's Morgan, though i know she's still here.

Finley checked her pockets for the cash she had on hand. Close to fifty dollars. "Hopefully that'll be enough," she muttered. "Wish me luck." She stepped outside the car and went into the shop.

"So you find her, then you kill her, then what?" Ben asked. He already knew the basics, but that was from joint Sally/Alyssa. He wanted to hear it from just her.

The heavily tattooed, heavily pierced young adult looked as he always did, though he had seemed to have dyed his dreadlocks a burgundy-- the colour being a compliment to his light brown, racially ambiguous complexion. He was smoking a real joint, his attention on his laptop instead of his shop as always. He did look up at Finley a few seconds after she came in, and his blunt dropped to the ground as his jaw went slack. " . . . Holy shit . . ." He looked to see if Roger was back too. " . . . Holy shit! Fuck me with a chainsaw! How the fuck did you honest to god manage to tame a hellhound, lady!?"

"I go back to my universe with Vincent, and you'll never see or hear anything about this again."

"You're going to go back to your world all alone and..." Ben gave a beat. "Like, just, sit? Watch paint dry?"

" . . . Who said I'd be all alone?" She had been careful to never mention to anyone the state of her homeworld for this very reason, because if they knew that bit of information it could only mean one thing. She didn't seem mad, just kind of somber. "So Morgan's been talking with you, huh?"

"Yeah, over a year ago." Ben told her. "'Our whole world is dead, your's is next!'" He paraphrased. "I also remember you saying that pretty much everything she told me back then was true."

"Its a talent," Finley replied vaguely. "By any chance do you have any dark robes for sale? Preferably black?"
